霊感 (reikan), which means inspiration, but also the ability of sensing the supernatural. The characters literally mean "sensing the spirits". I wrote this calligraphy in highly stylized seal script, which is the most ancient script in Chinese calligraphy. I absolutely love writing in seal script, it is very refined, raw, authentic and pure. It evolved about 3500 years ago, and is the most complex and convoluted script in Chinese calligraphy history. This calligraphy artwork is written traditionally from right to left, and it is available for purchase at Emillions Art Gallery or directly from me. (dimensions Size: 95cm x 35cm at $4350 USD / shipping and insurance included in the price). This calligraphy is professionally backed up by a calligraphy framing store in Tokyo, and ready to be mounted in a frame.

Hire a photographer in Tokyo Buy original Chinese and Japanese calligraphy art Mysterious cloud, or auspicious cloud (玄雲) - a Japanese calligraphy artwork that I wrote with a hand-ground aged tea ink. The amazing quality of ink blurring of the Xuan paper is really clearly visible in this artwork, and you can admire the fantastic ink patterns created on its surface. It is also a great example displaying the core feature of Japanese or Chinese calligraphy, which is writing with a single brush strokes, with no corrections and no retouching afterwards. The energy flow within the brush strokes will tell the viewer if the calligrapher wrote a given work without premeditating how he will move the brush on the paper surface. Any hesitation or a break of concentration will result in a disturbance of balance, between the Yang element of the ink, and the Yin element of the paper. This work is available for sale at Emillions Art Gallery or directly from me.

Hire a photographer in Tokyo Buy original Chinese and Japanese calligraphy art Those of you who follow my artistic career know well that I enjoy merging the traditional art form of Chinese and Japanese calligraphy with digital transformation and post processing done in photoshop. All my calligraphy art is written in a traditional fashion, with a calligraphy brush, hand-ground ink and calligraphy paper. The, photographs of finished works are brought into PC and I digitally transform them there. This particular work reads 飛龍 and it means "flying dragon". I wrote it in clerical script with a quite strong semi-cursive script elements woven into the composition.

I was studying martial arts for 7 years, and then lived in Japan for 13, and I have never seen an event displaying the traditional pre Meiji Era riflemen in action. There are no guns in Japan, even policemen guarding the police stations can be often seen resting on a bo (a long stick used in many types of Japanese martial arts, like karate, or aikido), but I have actually never seen a gun in Japan, not to mention about hearing one. We went to the Meiji Shrine to shoot the horseback archery even, but when I saw those guys I had to take a few shots. This older men was my favorite, he had this aura of a true old warrior, and I picked him out from the whole group immediately. I just wish the sun was at a different angle, but you cannot have everything, can you. Stay tuned, as more shots from today's event at Meiji Jingu in Tokyo are coming!

Hire a photographer in Tokyo I have been really busy recently. On top of photography jobs and various projects that I am currently involved in, I had to find time to prepare my artwork for an art dealer in US. So, busy, busy, busy, but I enjoy it as I like when things are spinning fast. Anyways, when I was going through some of the pieces that I created in past year or so, I had lots of fun revisiting them, and remembering various emotions and ideas that were going through my head. As you know, I enjoy processing digitally some of my Chinese and Japanese calligraphy works, and here is on of those. Poetry is also mine, enjoy!
